Unfortunately teenage
alcohol abuse, consumption and addiction is becoming even more of an everyday
occurrence, so much so, that we are being desensitized to its impacts on not
only our lives but the people’s around us. We overlook the seriousness of the
suffering teenagers experiencing every bit of the devastating side effects and
impacts of alcohol consumption and addiction. Physical proof to the growing
customary extent of teenage alcohol problems is clearly shown in many national
studies conducted by CDC (centre for disease control and prevention). One
example of these studies was a survey given to teenagers, it questioned their
drinking levels of the past 30 days (available here http://www.cdc.gov/alcohol/fact-sheets/underage-drinking.htm)
and found a whopping 39% drank some amount of alcohol, 22% binge drank, 8%
drove after drinking and 24$ rode home with a drunk driver. The reality of the
extent of teenage drinking problems lies deep with our mind and takes the cold
facts to retrieve and bring to our attention. Teenage drinking problems are so
common these days that if you are a teenager who doesn’t drink, you are
considered scared, a coward, chicken when in fact it should be the opposite.
